CIH Scotland annual lecture

CIH Scotland is pleased to invite you to attend our annual lecture, taking place on Thursday the 29th of November 2018 at the Dovecot Studios in Edinburgh.

We are delighted to announce that this year's guest speaker will be Professor Susan Deacon CBE, Chair of the Scottish Police Authority and Assistant Principal of Corporate Engagement at the University of Edinburgh.

Professor Deacon began her career in local government, before moving into management consultancy and training. In 1994 she became MBA Director of Programmes at Edinburgh Business School, Heriot Watt University. She was elected as a Member of the Scottish Parliament at its inception in 1999 and served in government as Scotland's first Cabinet Minister for Health and Community Care. Since standing down in 2007, she has undertaken a range of roles and projects, including being appointed as Professor of Social Change at Queen Margaret University - a post she held until 2010.

She was appointed as Chair of the Scottish Police Authority in December 2017.

This event is FREE for CIH Members and £30 + VAT for non-members. Please note that places for this event are limited so early booking is advised.
