The role of housing services in tackling violence against women, domestic abuse and sexual violence across Wales

About the event

This Welsh Women’s Aid and CIH Cymru conference will examine the critical role of Housing Services in delivering the Violence Against Women, Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence (Wales) Act, which requires partnership working to prevent these forms of violence and abuse.

The conference will also explore what commitments to ‘Make A Stand’ against violence and abuse means in practice, across all departments, for frontline Housing officers, managers and leaders 

Who should attend?

The conference will benefit anyone working with people affected by violence, sexual abuse and domestic violence including:

  • Housing association and local authority housing department staff including frontline workers, managers, directors, chief executives and chairs/board members
  • Homelessness professionals
  • Safeguarding professionals
  • Public protection professionals
  • Social workers
  • Health professionals
  • Probation officers
