DescriptionTenancies coming to a premature end and failing tenancies are costly for social landlords in terms of lost income, re-letting preparation and staff time, and usually, in personal terms, for tenants themselves. You will come away from this course with a full understanding of the contribution you and your organisation can make to reduce tenancy failure amongst your tenants.
By the end of this course you will be able to:
• Understand what tenancy failure is, why tenancies fail, and which tenants are most vulnerable to tenancy failure
• Take practical/ strategic steps to reduce tenancy failure through better management of arrears, interactions with tenants, lettings, ASB and repairs.
• Implement practical steps to identify tenants in need of support.
• Identify agencies who can work with you, and additional activities your organisation can undertake to better support tenants.
